Producția Ankarsrum Assistent a început în 1940, în fabrica suedeză Electrolux. În timpul celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial, gospodăriile suedeze au fost nevoite să economisească costuri mult mai mult decât înainte. Familiile nu puteau coace, găti, conserva dulceața și o puneau deoparte. Din această cauză, a devenit necesar un robot de bucătărie masiv.

Aspectul actual al Ankarsrum a fost stabilit în 1969. Acolo au fost asamblate toate componentele din aluminiu: axa, accesoriile axei, suportul superior, rasnita și piesele sale și motorul electric. De la lansare, multe componente au fost îmbunătățite, iar numărul de accesorii a fost, de asemenea, extins.

Ankarsrum Original a fost inclus în programul „Best in test”, unde s-au efectuat diverse teste pe acesta. Datorita rezultatelor bune obtinute la acestea, a fost primit foarte pozitiv in randul retailerilor si utilizatorilor. De asemenea, este popular datorită gamei sale largi de culori. Acest dispozitiv suedez a devenit rapid popular în toată Europa datorită manevrării sale ușoare, a numeroaselor funcții și a garanției de 5 ani a producătorului care îi susține calitatea înaltă.
